Alberta Health fully covers annual eye exams for children (ages 0 through 18) and for seniors (ages 65+). The benefit to you is that you receive our professional eye exam at no charge.

For Alberta residents ages 19 to 64, Alberta Health does not pay for regular eye exams, but does cover partial eye examinations for medically necessary evaluations. These examinations include such things as, eye infections, eye injuries, sudden vision loss, etc.
